BioI first saw her smiling, brightly,
enjoying the laughter that never lasted.
Playing the foolish games for hours,
lying around with continous giggles.
I watched her go everyday,
play with the jump ropes and skip,
walking around with her silly friends,
pick herself up when she falls on the ground.
Happily, she was.
And that was it, the last time I saw her.
I passed by the streets and there she was again,
with a steady face that I've never seen in her.
Sitting by the stairs, deadly she didn't move,
waiting if she'd crack a smile again.
I stared at her deep and darkened face,
her eyes bursting tears each time,
noticed no silly 'somebody' was there.
Where's herself when she's down?
Come to realize, it was I
who was drowning myself in sadness,
who was reflecting through the past.
And that she was me...
